Abstract:

The issue of attention is not only a topic of concern for economics but also a category for examination within the philosophy of technology.As a factor with significant influence on social history, technology plays a non-negligible role in shaping the structure of attention.In the digital age, digital technology has further strengthened its shaping influence on people's attention structure, attaining a dominant position that governs the various elements of the attention structure. This has led to a triple shift in contemporary individuals' attention towards virtualization, parametrization, and capitalization, crafting an alienated landscape characterized by the transgression of attentional objects, the fragmentation of attentional subjects, and the loss of focus in attentional activities.Focusing on eliminating technological alienation through the humanization of technology, we strive to address the contemporary dilemma of the attention crisis from the perspectives of technological governance, such as constructing a humanized digital space, promoting the benign embodiment of technological devices, and steering platform algorithms towards ethical governance. The aim is to transform the powerful integrating influence of digital technology on attention into an expansion of human cognitive capabilities, thereby achieving a harmonious symbiosis between human attention and digital technology.
